Meet Lemon Eucalyptus
MEET THE FRESH AND CITRUSY LEMON EUCALYPTUS.
Popular as an ingredient in outdoor patio sprays and candles, lemon eucalyptus has a fresh, citrusy aroma, similar to that of citronella. It blends well with many other essential oils, including citrus, woodsy and floral oils, making it a great addition to summertime diffusions. It can also be blended with your favorite skin care oil for an uplifting post-workout massage.
Where does it come from?
Lemon eucalyptus essential oil is steamed distilled from the leaves of the Corymbia citriodora tree. It is a tall tree with smooth white to pink bark and long yellow to green leaves. Aura cacia lemon eucalyptus essential oil typically comes from south central Brazil.
IS LEMON EUCALYPTUS A BLEND OF LEMON & EUCALYPTUS?
It's easy to assume that lemon eucalyptus is simply a blend of lemon and eucalyptus essential oils, however, that's not the case. Lemon eucalyptus essential oil is a single plant of Brazilian origin, whereas lemon and eucalyptus are separate plants that grow in different areas of the world. Lemon eucalyptus is a member of the Myrtle family which has over 600 different species of eucalyptus plants!
